Sue Compton has been our church Secretary since 2014. She and her husband Dave moved to Mesquite from Chicago, Illinois, where Sue taught school for 38 years. She holds degrees in English, Education, and Administration. Sue primarily taught Junior High in Language Arts and Gifted Grades, 7th and 8th, but also taught 5th grade for 14 years. After teaching, Sue worked for a friend for 7 years at the Hollingworth Candy Company, where they made English Toffee. Dave stays busy as a Personal Trainer here in Mesquite. Dave & Sue, both from Alliance, Ohio, have been married for 30 years. They are faithful fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers and The Ohio State University. They love their semi-retired life and especially enjoy their time with their little dog Jerome ( for ex-Steeler Jerome Bettis). He is part long-haired chihuahua and part papillon, and of course, he’s handsome and clever!
