Pat Harger was welcomed into the position of MUMC’s Lay Leader in July 2025. Pat and her husband, Stan, have two grown sons and have been members in MUMC since 2017.

Pat has served this congregation in several ways since retiring to Mesquite, leading Finance and Stewardship, singing in the choir and special groups, as worship leader, and on Staff-Parish Relations. She has participated in several Circles including bowling, dining, bridge and the ukulele group as a backup singer. She enjoys singing and performing in Half Notes and at the community theater. Before retiring, her career was in healthcare administration across the country for several hospitals, health systems, and medical groups where she led strategic planning, marketing and communication, business development and general operations management.
Her husband Stan (for 56 years) had his professional career in education, training and consulting in quality improvement. Since retiring to Mesquite, he has been an active volunteer with Search and Rescue for the Arizona Strip, Community Emergency Response Teams, and Volunteer Police to name a few. In 2021 he was awarded a President’s Lifetime Achievement Award for a lifelong commitment to building a stronger nation through volunteer service.
Pat has enthusiastically begun to serve the congregation in this new role and hopes to excite others about growing in their faith and service through ministry opportunities at MUMC.
